We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Estimating Manager for our Glass/Glazing department. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our estimating department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our projects. If you have a passion for the glazing industry and a knack for leadership, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the estimating team in the preparation of budgets, estimates, and cost plans for projects in the glazing industry.

Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Oversee the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best prices and quality.

Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that estimates are accurate and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to create accurate estimates.

Use your expertise in the glazing industry to provide guidance and advice to the team.

Implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the estimating department.

Attend meetings with clients, architects, and consultants as required.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure our company remains competitive.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the glazing industry.

Proven experience as an estimating manager or similar role.

Extensive knowledge of the glazing industry, including materials, labor, equipment, and technology.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent numerical skills and the ability to create accurate estimates.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Proficiency in relevant software, such as estimating software and MS Office.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
