The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School (AMSA), a demanding curriculum charter school, seeks to hire committed, skilled, and inspiring educators. AMSA is committed to preparing all students to succeed in college and 21st-century careers. Located in Marlborough, MA, AMSA includes 6th through 12th grade classes. AMSA is seeking a School nurse to provide services on field trips, on an as needed basis.
- The field trip nurse will take on the primary function of the school nurse. - Responsibilities include practicing health care services in accordance with the MA General Law, school policy and health protocols.- Responsibilities include providing students with medical and first aid services as required; administering daily, PRN and OTC medications. - Provide emergency and non-emergency care for injury and illness.- Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, parents regarding students' needs.- Maintain current confidential student health records- Assess students, evaluate health status and provide care according to standing orders and following student individual healthcare plans.- BSN required, valid MA RN current license required- BLS CPR/AED certification required- Experience in a school based, community or pediatric setting is preferred.- Computer experience with electronic medical records preferred; AMSA uses SNAP as the EMR- will trainRate: $50 per hourNote: The Advanced Math and Science Academy is a committed equal-opportunity employer that hires a talented and diverse workforce.
