Job Summary
We are a therapist owned multidisciplinary clinic! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques, particularly in pediatric settings, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress in various environments such as schools and clinics.
- Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and resources to families regarding speech development and strategies for home practice.
- Stay current with best practices in speech therapy through continuous professional development.
Skills
- Proficient in speech therapy techniques with a focus on pediatrics.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments using appropriate medical terminology.
- Experience in early intervention strategies for children with communication delays.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient caseloads efficiently.
