Metro Mattress is seeking an energetic and motivated Store Manager & Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and foster a positive shopping experience at the upcoming Vestal, NY location We are looking for a strong Sales Manager (emphasis on Sales) and Assistant Sales Manager to take it to the next level as we reopen in the near future. In this position you will be on the sales floor as the primary salesperson leading a team of two towards revenue goals. As an hourly plus commission environment, you won't have a draw to worry about and you have the ability to control your own income in a warm lead atmosphere. Duties
- Lead all aspects of store operations, including driving sales and hitting KPIs
- Work with SM/ASM to ensure store is scheduled appropriately and achieving goals
- Oversee store execution, inventory management, and operations
- Foster a welcoming environment by providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues promptly.
- Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups smoothly between customers, sales, and operations
- Utilize strong communication skills to motivate staff and maintain organizational alignment with company goals
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and legal regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven management experience in mattress and/or furniture environment with proven sales results
- Strong leadership qualities and positive mindset
- Excellent organizational skills coupled with effective time management to handle multiple priorities seamlessly
- Proficiency in retail math, budgeting, sales management, and retail store operations
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, inventory management, and merchandising strategies
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, cashiering, and store bookkeeping
- Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
Pay: $33,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
