Lead Medical Assistant – Dermatology
The Skin People Dermatology is seeking an experienced Lead Medical Assistant to oversee the daily operations of our clinical team. This position is ideal for someone with strong dermatology experience who enjoys leading others, improving efficiency, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
This is not an entry-level leadership position. We are looking for someone who can confidently step into a leadership role with minimal supervision, help train staff, solve problems independently, and keep our clinic running efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Leadership
- Lead and support a team of Medical Assistants
- Assign daily responsibilities and monitor workflow
- Train, coach, and mentor new employees
- Promote accountability and teamwork
- Identify workflow improvements and implement solutions
- Help maintain a positive, professional work environment
Daily Operations
- Coordinate patient flow for multiple providers
- Ensure exam rooms remain fully stocked and prepared
- Monitor clinical supply inventory
- Assist with provider scheduling adjustments
- Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are completed
- Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise
Cosmetic & Patient Care Coordination
- Manage cosmetic consultation follow-up
- Coordinate cosmetic scheduling
- Perform post-procedure follow-up calls
- Assist in improving cosmetic conversion rates
- Support providers with cosmetic procedures and workflow
Clinical Support
- Assist providers during procedures when needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EZDerm
- Maintain excellent patient communication
- Help keep providers on schedule
Compliance & Quality
- Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Ensure office SOPs are followed consistently
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Minimum 2 years in dermatology
- Previous experience assisting with dermatologic procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable giving direction and providing constructive feedback
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Lead Medical Assistant or supervisory experience
- Cosmetic dermatology experience
- Experience with EZDerm EMR
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
