Overview
Golden Smile Adult Day Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to support the health, safety, and well-being of our participants.
Our center provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for older adults, including individuals with chronic medical conditions, mobility limitations, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease.
This is a non-acute care nursing position focused on participant assessments, health monitoring, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Participant Care & Health Monitoring
- Conduct required nursing assessments for participants.
- Monitor participants for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition.
- Obtain and document vital signs as required, including routine blood pressure monitoring.
- Respond appropriately to medical incidents and emergencies.
- Report changes in participant condition, incidents, and health concerns to administration.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
- Review physician orders, medical records, and health-related documentation.
- Complete nursing assessments, monthly notes, and required participant documentation.
- Maintain accurate health records and regulatory paperwork.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation.
- Assist with interdisciplinary documentation and care planning.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with infection prevention and participant safety practices.
- Support compliance with Florida state regulations and Adult Day Care program requirements.
- Provide health-related guidance and support to staff.
- Attend team meetings and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration.
Position Information
This position is located within an Adult Day Care Center and is not a hospital, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, or home health setting.
This position does NOT include:
- Routine medication administration
- IV therapy
- Wound care
- Catheter care
- Tube feeding
- Ventilator management
- Other acute or skilled nursing procedures
The primary responsibilities include participant assessments, health monitoring, documentation, and maintaining a safe environment.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Florida LPN or RN license in good standing.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong assessment and observation skills.
- Excellent documentation and organizational abilities.
- Comfortable using computers and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Professional, compassionate, dependable, and reliable.
