Software Quality Assurance Engineer
KNOWiNK — St. Louis, Missouri
We're looking for a solid mid-level QA Engineer who genuinely cares about shipping quality software. You'll be hands-on with testing across our platform, working closely with developers and product to catch problems early. You don't need to have all the answers yet, but you bring real curiosity, solid instincts, and a track record of making things better.
What you'll be doing
Design and execute test plans and test cases for features, releases, and hotfixes
Perform manual and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and API platforms
Support regression, integration, smoke, and performance testing efforts
Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution with clear communication
Partner with developers and product managers on requirements and acceptance criteria
Help document QA processes and contribute to team testing standards
Contribute to QA metrics and help communicate quality trends across the team
What we're looking for
2+ years of hands-on software QA or testing experience
Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and where testing fits in
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong attention to detail and solid debugging instincts
Clear communicator who works well across teams
Nice to have
Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Scripting or programming experience in Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, or LoadRunner
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with Docker or containerized testing environments
What success looks like
First 90 days
You know the product, you know the team, and you're contributing meaningfully to test coverage
First 6 months
You're running point on testing for features end to end and catching bugs before they reach production
First year
You're a trusted, go-to member of the QA team with real ownership over your area of the product
