The Infusion RN will provide safe, compassionate patient care, administer prescribed infusion therapies, monitor patients throughout treatment, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Strong assessment skills, communication, clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals are essential. Experience with infusion therapy and IV medication administration is required.

Job Summary
Infusion Registered Nurse’s (IRN) are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care for patients seen within the office setting. Under the supervision of the Physician he or she is accountable for the quality of nursing care provided to the patients. Utilizing the nursing process, the IRN assumes responsibility for planning, implementing, directing and evaluating nurse care for infusion patients. Highly organized and detail-oriented must be able to manage large amounts of information in a clear, thorough manner. They also need to be adaptable and able to respond quickly and adequately to constant change.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
- Review patient charts one week prior to infusion to identify new orders or changes.
- Greet patients, escort them to infusion rooms, and provide orientation for new patients, including procedure and discharge instructions.
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, health updates, medications, and insurance verification.
- Initiate IV access, draw labs as needed, and prepare/administer infusion medications.
- Monitor patients throughout infusions (30 minutes to 3 hours), including vital signs and assessments every 30 minutes.
- Complete post-infusion care, including final vital signs, IV removal, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Ensure accurate documentation and provide billing/encounter information for checkout.
- Obtain and maintain required clinical documentation; communicate urgent issues to providers.
- Provide patient education, answer questions, and support overall patient care.
- Assist team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong clinical knowledge, including infusion therapy and medical terminology.
- Proficient in computer use; able to document accurately and utilize medical software systems.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
- Maintains professionalism, tact, and composure under stress.
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations; CPR certification preferred.
- Reliable and flexible, with the ability to travel between locations as needed.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Possesses sufficient dexterity to perform essential clinical responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
- RN currently licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing.
- Two years of infusion experience is required.

Pay: From $29.00 per hour
