Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or eligibility as a school psychologist
- Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education procedures
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfortable adapting to diverse learning and behavioral needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate student strengths and needs
- Participate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team to develop interventions and individualized education programs
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding academic and behavioral interventions
- Support initiatives and interventions to promote positive school climates and student wellbeing
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and prepare documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Assist in staff development and deliver presentations on relevant psychological topics
