Summary
As a Barista and Cashier at Paris Baguette, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through high-quality beverages, delicious food items, and friendly, efficient service. You will also contribute to the development of the team by training new hires and helping to maintain a welcoming, supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages and food items with attention to quality and presentation.
- Greet customers, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and manage cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including the barista station, cashier area, and dining space.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Train new team members by demonstrating proper procedures, mentoring them during shifts, and helping them understand company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, productive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a barista, cashier, or food service role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience training or mentoring others is a plus.
