Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing pain management or relaxation
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally
- Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on customer satisfaction and personalized care
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Expertise in advanced massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop customized treatment plans
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and med spa environments is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate clients and collaborate with team members
