Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for precision assembly work. As a Machine Operator at Polargy Inc., you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate drill presses, pneumatic punches, saws, and related production equipment to manufacture components according to specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and monitor drill press operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform pre-assembly of parts and subassemblies using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, and basic technical drawings.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with production requirements.
- Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety standards.
- Identify and report equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns.
- Assist with general production, assembly, and material handling tasks as needed.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Proven experience in machine operation or a related field.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using machines and power tools.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment
