Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The Onboarding Trainer is responsible for helping develop, mentor, and coach new team members as they become acclimated to Farmer Focus operations processes. This role trains new team members on the knowledge, skills, procedures, and responsibilities needed to be successful in their assigned positions.
The Onboarding Trainer works in partnership with the Operations team, Orientation Trainer, department leads, supervisors, and Safety to support new hires through their 60-day probationary period. This position requires a strong commitment to lifelong learning, coaching, team member development, and the Farmer Focus CARES values: Community, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Stewardship.
Spend approximately 30% of time supporting orientation, new hire understanding, check-ins, documentation, and related onboarding activities.
Check in with new hires at the 2-week, 4-week, and 7-week marks to support understanding of Farmer Focus policies, procedures, and values.
Assist assigned departments with training on compliance-related topics, including food safety, GMPs, safety techniques, and health and welfare expectations.
Reinforce safety, quality, productivity, animal welfare, food safety, and operational expectations during training.
Compensation Range: $19.50 an hour
The posted compensation range for this role should reflect the minimum and maximum amount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

Ability to communicate effectively with new hires, leads, supervisors, Operations leadership, Safety, and the Orientation Trainer.
Ability to complete and maintain training documentation, evaluations, check-ins, and feedback forms accurately and on time.
Ability to support food safety, GMP, safety, health and welfare, and operational training requirements.
Ability to model the Farmer Focus CARES values of Community, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Stewardship.
Prior experience as a trainer, lead, buddy trainer, production trainer, onboarding trainer, or similar role.
Experience in poultry processing, food processing, manufacturing, production, or operations.
Experience training team members on food safety, GMPs, safety techniques, health and welfare, production standards, or documented work processes.
New team members must be able to pass a drug, alcohol and background screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
Work is conducted primarily in a manufacturing and poultry production environment. This role requires regular access to production areas, training areas, orientation spaces, team member work areas, and other operational areas throughout the plant. The team members must be able to tolerate varying heat, wet, cold, and chill conditions within the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment are required in the production area. Hair and beard nets are required in the production area. Additional personal protective equipment may be required based on task, location, and safety requirements. This position may require standing for long periods, walking, bending, reaching, demonstrating production tasks, coaching team members on the production floor, using computers and Microsoft Office tools, and working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and training needs may change quickly.
