MARKETING/PROPOSAL COORDINATOR / SENIOR MARKETING/PROPOSAL COORDINATOR
The primary role of the Marketing/Proposal Coordinator (or Senior Marketing/Proposal Coordinator) is to position the company to win business in the markets in which it currently operates, as well as future new markets. The Marketing/Proposal Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing and is a key team contributor to a variety of companywide marketing activities. This position's primary responsibility will be proposal and presentation development in the pursuit of project opportunities. Additional responsibilities can include marketing material and campaign development, event management, and internal and external communications. This individual has versatile talent with a strategic mindset, a high level of attention-to-detail, and a natural ability to “see” and raise the questions that need to be asked to isolate and deliver impactful messages.
This position will be offered at either the Marketing Coordinator or Senior Marketing Coordinator level, depending on the selected candidate’s prior experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Four-year college degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to influence without authority
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, yet to exercise good judgment in seeking supervisory guidance when appropriate
Preferred:
- Experience using a Customer Relationship Management system is a plus
- Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: 1) marketing professional services, 2) commercial construction or related businesses, or 3) proposal development
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a marketing or communications related role
Office and Travel:
This is a low-travel position based out of McGough's Roseville office. Occasional in-town travel and overnight travel may be required.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop proposals and presentations on behalf of the company in the pursuit of project opportunities
- Lead internal meetings independently in support of the above, coordinating and influencing participation from cross-functional individuals of all position levels (including executives) and driving the selection of the “right” messages to compel proposal and presentation audiences
- Assume responsibility for meeting critical deadlines on behalf of the company
- Provide creative ideas, layout and design, copy writing, and production and distribution support for various marketing materials and efforts (i.e., brochures, company website, sales materials, advertisements, award submissions, public relations, internal communications etc)
- Assume ownership for one or more specialized areas of department focus such as project photography, public relations support, award management, etc. as assigned by the Director of Marketing
- Coordinate company participation in tradeshow events, and attend events as needed. Identify social media opportunities and create content for sharing
- Collaborate with other marketing team members, coordinating efforts, sharing best practices, contributing creative ideas, and proactively helping to balance the team workload
- Participate in additional marketing department activities, including team meetings, professional development and training opportunities, design partner networking events, and departmental and company-wide Lean process improvement efforts
