Job Description
Hours Per Week: 35 – Part-time employee
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Pay invoices in a timely manner.
- Pay any debt as it comes due.
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits.
- Conduct the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare expenditure forms monthly to keep track of contractual spending.
- Issue financial statements to management.
- Provide information to an external accountant.
- Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Maintain the chart of accounts.
- Maintain an annual budget for all contracts.
- Calculate variance from each budget and report significant issues to management.
- Comply with state and federal reporting requirements.
- Process payroll in a timely manner.
- Assist with onboarding new employees.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
- Perform additional duties as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director.
Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and peers
- Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks
- Knowledge of fund accounting
- Perform administrative activities
- Think creatively and problem-solve
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills
- Organize, plan and prioritize work
- Monitor processes, materials or surroundings
- Use oral and written communication techniques
- Use word processing and other Microsoft Office software
