As a Logistics and Inventory Control Coordinator, you play a central role in our shop operations. Receiving Shipments and Storage:
- Receive shipments from suppliers promptly upon arrival.
- Ensure that received items are stored appropriately in designated areas.
Loading and Shipping:
- Load materials into vehicles for shipping.
- Ensure that loads are safe and secure and minimize transportation damage.
- Transport finished and unfinished goods to their destination.
Coordinating with Office for Powder Coating:
- Ensure that packing slips are received from the office by Tuesday morning.
- Organize and separate materials intended for powder coating in a manner that is efficient to load.
- Coordinate with the office to resolve any discrepancies.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Regularly clean the shop, yard, and storage areas.
- Collaborate with others to ensure proper waste management procedures are followed.
Organizing Yard and Materials:
- Categorize products and materials logically for efficient retrieval.
- Palletize residential railings according to development or group.
- Store similar materials together for easy identification.
- Ensure that products are organized in a manner that facilitates quick retrieval for delivery or loading.
Organizing Hardware:
- Arrange hardware items in storage bins or other easily accessible areas.
- Group similar kinds of hardware together for ease of locating.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to replenish supplies as needed.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to streamline processes and optimize inventory control.
Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective items to suppliers for replacement or refund.
- Implement quality control measures to uphold product standards and customer satisfaction.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide training to warehouse staff on proper handling techniques and safety procedures as necessary.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on relevant warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary to prevent downtime and maintain efficiency.
Work Hours and Punctuality:
- Adhere to the designated work hours as directed by manager.
- Be punctual and arrive on time for work.
- Seeking Clarification from the Office:
- When tasks are unclear, promptly communicate with the office for clarification and guidance.
Misc Duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
