The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position works closely with the Accounting Manager to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare and record journal entries for monthly accounting activities.
· Perform monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
· Record and reconcile daily cash transactions.
· Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
· Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
· Process accounts payable invoices and assist with accounts receivable activities.
· Prepare customer invoices and apply customer payments.
· Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections as needed.
· Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
· Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
· Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
· Assist with inventory reconciliations and inventory accounting.
· Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
· Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting.
· Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
· Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
· Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, License and Certificates
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
· Minimum of 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
· Manufacturing or engineering industry experience preferred.
· Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
· Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar ERP systems).
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
· CPA designation or CPA candidate is a plus.

Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
