Job Summary
The Intervention Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, particularly those with disabilities. This position involves developing and implementing tailored educational strategies to enhance student learning and engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education, curriculum development, and classroom management, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate literacy education, math, and other subjects into intervention plans.
- Provide tutoring and support in both academic subjects and social skills development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve issues that may arise among students.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs is essential.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional design is highly desirable.
- Strong background in literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques.
- Previous experience in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus.
- Proficiency in utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) for lesson planning and tracking student progress.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in tutoring or providing childcare services is beneficial.

Pay: $45,957.46 - $65,346.62 per year
