Duties
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring menu items meet dietary guidelines and customer preferences
- Prepare food items using proper cooking techniques, including chopping, mixing, baking, and plating
- Serve meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers, maintaining excellent food handling practices
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure cleanliness, proper storage, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Support catering events by helping with food setup, presentation, and cleanup
- Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas in a clean, organized manner to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals and exceptional service experiences
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary services, food preparation, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment demonstrating strong culinary skills
- Ability to perform meal preparation tasks efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are preferred
- Strong communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
