Work hours: PRN/per diem, Rotating shifts, 3p and 7p coverage needed; PRN II: Minimum of 3 shifts in a 6-week schedule required, 1 weekend shift per 6-week scheduled, 1 major/1 minor holiday requirement

Here’s what you need:
-
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
-
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
-
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
-
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
-
PALS – within 90 days of hire required OR
-
ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
-
TNCC – within 12 months of hire required
-
NIHSS – within 6 months of hire required
-
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
-
1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
-
Current ED experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- assesses the patient
- plans the care of the patient
- intervenes as appropriate
- evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
