Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and experienced Owner Operators to join our dynamic transportation team! As an Owner Operator, you will leverage your expertise in commercial truck driving to provide reliable, efficient freight delivery across various routes. Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers, including dry van ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal paths for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods.
- Handle documentation accurately for each shipment, including delivery receipts, load manifests, and compliance paperwork.
- Maintain vehicle safety standards by performing routine inspections and adhering to truck loading/unloading procedures to prevent damage or accidents.
Skills
- Proven experience
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety compliance standards.
- Skilled in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic management.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes; forklift certification is a plus.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with route driving across long distances is preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics cargo handling techniques for freight including dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and ensuring smooth delivery operations.
