Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming drywall installations into smooth, flawless surfaces ready for painting or finishing. Your expertise will ensure high-quality results that meet project specifications and safety standards. Duties
- Apply drywall mudding and taping techniques to achieve seamless wall surfaces, ensuring a professional finish.
- Install drywall panels accurately according to construction plans and schematics, including cutting, fitting, and fastening panels securely.
- Perform drywall texturing and stucco work to match existing finishes or specified designs.
- Repair damaged drywall or plaster surfaces efficiently, restoring them to their original condition.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, screw guns, taping knives, sanders, and caulking guns to complete tasks effectively.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise installation and finishing work.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate work on framing, metal stud framing, door hanging, fixture installation, and remodeling projects.
- Follow construction safety regulations diligently and adhere to all safety protocols on-site to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall installation, mudding, taping, texturing, and repair within a construction environment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Additional skills in related trades such as plastering, carpentry (including trim carpentry), flooring installation, tile laying, or water damage restoration are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence is essential.
- Prior experience in restoration industry work or mold remediation is advantageous but not required.
