Emergency Technical Decon is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Clean Room Associate for our Portland, OR location. This full time role plays a critical role in protecting fire fighter health by supporting the safe and meticulous decontamination of turnout gear. Working in a temperature-controlled clean room environment, responsible for the inspection, preparation, and packaging of gear following strict safety and contamination-control protocols. A strong commitment to quality and consistency as part of our mission to combat occupational cancer in the fire service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive in Firefighting Turnout Gear/Equipment from Fire Departments and First Responder Departments.
- Disassemble, inspect/test and manage gear details and load data details into customer portal'
- Process gear in our state-of-the-art Cleaning and Contamination equipment
- Inspect and document gear condition throughout the cleaning process.
- Prepare and Package completed gear for return to designated Fire Departments and emergency service centers.
- Coordinate projects with regional sales staff to ensure efficient scheduling for order processing and delivery.
- Occasionally pickup and delivery of turnout gear through established route.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience working in professional industrial cleaning, laundry, textile restoration or dry-cleaning environment desired.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills, written skills, and computer proficiency
- Works well in a team environment
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to regularly lift, push and pull up to 50lb
