About Weaving Clarity
Weaving Clarity is a group private practice looking to hire 1-2 Associate (ASW/AMFT/APCC) therapists to help with the growing client list.
We are currently hiring for weekday afternoon and evening shifts, and a minimum of 3-day schedule is preferred. Openness and experience with couples, family and group therapy are also preferred.
We specialize in trauma-focused through embedded in Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization (EMDR). We are an all-inclusive and culturally responsive group practice. We specifically treat the deep underlying core relational issues in addiction, trauma, and acute symptoms presentations. We work with couples, families, and polycules throughout California.
The Role
You’ll work as a Primary Therapist and gain clinical hours with paid supervision. Weaving Clarity is a specialized practice working from a trauma-focused lens. You will utilize evidence based and scientifically backed therapeutic interventions during face-to-face client sessions.
You’ll be a W-2 employee, not a contractor—so taxes, malpractice coverage, and payroll are handled for you. This is a unique opportunity to get experience in a private practice setting building a potential individual caseload, while being paid.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments and development comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic summaries.
- Provide crisis intervention support to clients and staff.
- Conduct individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions with clients.
- Complete and maintain the appropriate clinical documentation in the company determined timeframe.
- Serve as a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team to work with other professionals in formulating individualized treatment plans and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans. Attend any and all company staff meetings.
- Oversee all treatment services for your designated client caseload.
- Engage in community outreach events, community in-service trainings, and attend any other company mandated office gatherings.
- Maintain a minimum caseload and work hours that are determined by the needs of clients.
- Create your own pre-determined steady clinical schedule to conduct psychotherapy sessions between 8am to 9:00pm PST, Monday through Sunday.
What you’ll actually do
- See a minimum of 16 clients a week (e.g. individuals, couples, families) via HIPAA-secure telehealth platform. You have the freedom to preset your own schedule.
- Use Simple Practice for your Electronic Health Record (EHR) system which integrates artificial intelligence (AI)-generated notes—notes are done automatically and only require quick review and approval by both you and your Supervisor. We do not require the use of AI for our clients or therapists, but it is available to assist with documentation.
- Attend, at a minimum, one hour of weekly individual supervision based on caseload size.
- Conduct risk assessments, medical evaluations, supply diagnostic evaluations in clinical treatment planning.
Requirements for the position
- Current active California Associate (ASW/AMFT/ APCC) registration issued by the professional licensing board, Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Masters in Clinical Counseling, Doctoral Psychology candidate, or closely related field higher educational field.
- If you have a subsequent BBS registration number, please double check with the BBS guidelines prior to applying.
- Comfort with telehealth platforms and basic Electronic Health Record (EHR) use.
- Reliable consistent schedule to build consistency and safety with clients.
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to timely documentation.
- Ability to see clients via telehealth on a HIPAA-compliant platform.
