Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director/Assistant Director to lead our organization’s programs and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, program development, and behavioral health, with a focus on working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This leadership role requires exceptional relationship management skills, administrative expertise, and the ability to oversee program and staff performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The Assistant Director will play a pivotal role in shaping organizational strategy, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all organizational programs and initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Manage relationships with clients, families, community partners, funders, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and organizational growth.
- Supervise staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development efforts.
- Oversee budgeting processes, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to behavioral health and social services.
- Lead program development efforts to expand services and improve existing offerings based on community needs.
- Maintain administrative records, prepare reports, and manage documentation efficiently.
- Foster a positive organizational culture that emphasizes teamwork, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience with a strong background in program management within social work or behavioral health settings.
- Supervising experience with teams working with individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations.
- Demonstrated expertise in program development and relationship management across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong administrative skills including budgeting, documentation, and compliance oversight.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and social work principles related to developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, clients, families, and community partners.
- A minimum of an Associates degree in ECE or 64 college credits with 21 hours in ECE & 3 hours in management, administration or leadership class.

Pay: $44,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
