American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy for an outpatient orthopedic and specialty hospital setting, with CHT certification preferred and splinting skills required.

Outpatient OT department within an orthopedic and specialty hospital setting

10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week

Patient population includes hand, neurological, and lymphedema diagnoses

Charting is done in Epic
-
Equipment used includes splinting tools, blood flow restriction devices, and a therapy pool
-
No floating to other units
-
No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
-
No holiday coverage expected

Active South Dakota OT license required if applicable

Current BLS certification required
-
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential granted by the HTCC preferred; may be waived based on experience

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required

Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience required

Splinting skills required
-
First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration

DOB and SSN required for consideration

Treat patients with hand, neurological, and lymphedema conditions in an outpatient setting

Supervised by Rehab Supervisors within a supportive department structure
-
Orientation is 5–7 days covering both facility and unit

Scrub color required is pewter/dark grey/granite
