The Credit Card Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong professional relationships. He or she professionally responds to customer emails and telephone calls. The Credit Card Representative is responsible for day to day activities related to the Credit Card and Money Line Services. He or she courteously and promptly resolves Credit Card and Money Line questions and problems or refers them to appropriate personnel. The Credit Card Representative establishes and performs set-up for new accounts. He or she ensures that the Credit Card and Money Line operations are completed in accordance with established bank procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and a strong ability to use and navigate the Internet is required

Previous banking experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assumes responsibility for processing functions for credit Cards

Orders credit cards and performs account maintenance and input
-
Answers questions for customers, branch personnel and management regarding credit cards, i.e. balance and payment information, pin resets, etc

Accepts and processes credit card payments submitted by customers via mail or phone. Processes credit card payments received and submitted via branch transactions

Ensures that all credit card functions are compliant with bank policy and procedures and state and federal regulations

Receives delinquency reports from the computer system and verifies the status of the accounts. Keeps accurate and up-to-date activity reports and research accounts that appear on late and potentially late records to ensure that D.L. Evans Bank errors are detected promptly. Provide account holders the opportunity to fully explain their account status

Follows up on delinquent credit card accounts by telephone, personal contact, and correspondence to secure a satisfactory resolution to the repayment problem. Makes suggestions in order to arrive at suitable payment arrangements. Documents all collection actions taken, including telephone conversations, alternative financial arrangements, and correspondence on computer

Utilizes effective human relations skills and various forms of persuasion to present a positive company image in an already negative situation (delinquency). Calms irate clients and answers questions and complaints relevant to Department functions

Actively seeks to minimize loan losses by monitoring past-due credit card accounts

Refers accounts to Special Assets Department for bankruptcy actions, deceased borrower handling, and workout plans or discussing possible financial arrangements

Assumes responsibility for processing functions for Consumer and Business Money Lines

Complete daily maintenance consisting of new or changes to Consumer and Business Money Lines

Answers questions from customers, branch personnel and management regarding money lines, i.e. balance and payment information, etc.

Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns

Helps other area personnel as required

Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank
