Superintendent | Commercial Construction | Connecticut
A nationally recognized general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join its Connecticut team. This is an opportunity to lead the field operations on complex commercial construction projects while working for one of the industry's most respected builders.
This role is ideal for a Superintendent who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects, leading field teams, and maintaining exceptional safety standards from groundbreaking through project completion.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead all day-to-day field operations from project start through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules while partnering closely with the Project Management team.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain a strong jobsite safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance at all times.
- Conduct daily site meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and safety briefings.
- Identify and proactively resolve field challenges to keep projects moving forward.
- Build strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and trade partners throughout the project lifecycle.
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Experience leading projects within one or more of the following markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, Corporate / Office, Municipal, Life Sciences
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain demanding project schedules.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality control, scheduling, and safety.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
