Job Overview
Join our team as a part time delivery driver for Pel Electric Inc. You will spend each morning loading the truck with material for our customers and then transporting the material to the surrounding counties that we serve. This position includes loading, unloading, and some basic warehouse duties as well.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a transit van full of heavy materials
- Load and unload material efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
- Follow planned delivery routes accurately, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
- Communicate effectively with costumers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues during transit
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies throughout all driving activities
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with freight transport
- Proven ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of route driving techniques to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Ability to load and unload heavy material
- Strong commitment to safety standards and professional conduct on the road
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
