Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move inventory efficiently.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory movements accurately and update stock records in real-time.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks with precision to ensure accurate order fulfillment for e-commerce and distribution channels.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and preparing items for dispatch.
- Stock shelves systematically, ensuring products are organized for easy access and efficient picking.
- Use basic math skills to count stock quantities, verify orders, and calculate weights or measurements as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace by adhering to safety protocols, conducting routine inspections, and reporting hazards promptly.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including order picking & packing, stock management, and shipping & receiving is advantageous.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms will help streamline your workflow.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform basic math calculations accurately are essential for success in this role.
