The position of the Security Guard (unarmed) is to provide and maintain a safe and secure environment at The Sanctuary Dispensaries. Guards patrol, perform access control and investigate disturbances within the facilities. Guards will also assist in monitoring surveillance or alarm systems.
Responsibilities

Promote a positive work environment that puts the customer or patient experience at the forefront and adheres to the established policies and procedures
- Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies, and procedures

Establish and maintain working relationships and provide assistance as requested to managers, supervisors and employees on an ongoing basis to enhance the security and safety of all employees

Communicate and liaise with law enforcement, fire departments and other first responder personnel

Remain alert and aware of all situations in the parking lot, the surrounding property and throughout the interior of the building at all times
- Maintains appropriate grooming and uniform standards
- Observe and report suspicious activity, identify subjects and provide detailed physical descriptors of any customer who may appear to show signs of suspicious behavior. Ability to provide details of any/all incidents that occur through incident reporting documentation
- Advise customers and patients on appropriate action regarding safety or security

Keep any relevant logs up to date and compliant with local and state regulations

Patrol the facility and perimeter regularly and as required

Maintain a high visibility presence and uphold safety standards within the interior and exterior of the facility

Monitor the ingress or egress of employees, visitors, vendors, and customers with the ability to detect suspicious, illegal, or unsafe activity, diffuse situation and evict violators

Helps support other facility employees by performing other tasks as apparent or as delegated by MOD

Inform management of reoccurring issues with customers, equipment, or platform software

Always maintain strict confidentiality of customer/patient information

Attend mandatory training and staff meetings

Pay starting at $15+/hr - ($17) DOE

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 2 years of security experience

Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations

Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances)

Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and on a team, communicating effectively on the job through daily logs and using the chain of command.
