Xcel Fabrication is looking for a reliable Pipe Welder to join our crew. In this role, you’ll be doing a variety of tasks in our West Jordan Shop, including: welding pipe and miscellaneous metals in various positions (including vertical and overhead), operating a bandsaw, layout and drill holes, bend metal, fit-up, layout, etc in a shop setting. We need someone who can operate a variety of machines, read blueprints, follow welding procedures, and make clean, quality welds.
What You’ll Do:
- Weld material in various positions, including 6G for pipe, using SMAW, GTAW, and/or other welding processes.
- Read and follow blueprints, specs, and welding procedures.
- Prep materials, layout materials, and ensure welds meet quality standards.
- Keep your work area clean and safe.
- Work as part of a team to meet job deadlines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to pass a 6G weld test (or current certification is a plus)
- Comfortable working with variety of machines.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Dependable, team player attitude
Bonus If You Have:
- Your own PPE, i.e. welding helmet, leathers, face shield
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5pm
