Role Overview:
BEPC is seeking a Medical Assembler to support our customer’s manufacturing operations in Irvine, CA. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a cleanroom environment. The Medical Assembler will support the production of high-quality medical devices by performing assembly, repair, testing, and documentation activities within a manufacturing cell. This position works under close supervision and plays an important part in maintaining product quality, traceability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, repair, and testing of medical device components and related assemblies following standardized procedures
- Produce high-quality work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job documentation, traveler records, and quality records
- Ensure parts are traceable and quality issues are documented appropriately
- Follow written procedures and verbal instructions carefully and consistently
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, managers, and other team members regarding production issues and solutions
- Support safety practices and use proper protective equipment and safety devices during all operations
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives that support production, quality, and efficiency goals
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing efforts and support cell performance metrics
- Help maintain a professional and positive environment when interacting with internal teams and visitors
- Support divisional initiatives and compliance with Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and other regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow English instructions
- Ability to read and follow written procedures and verbal directions
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems and software packages
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage work based on timing and importance
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and components
- Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing preferred
Cleanroom / Dress Requirements:
- Clothing must be clean, non-shedding, and free of loose threads or frayed material
- Loose fiber garments, fleece, sweaters, glitter, sequins, tassels, and similar items are not permitted
- Clothing must fully cover torso, upper arms, and legs
- Open-toe, open-heel, clog-style, or high-heel shoes are not permitted
- Nail polish, acrylic nails, artificial nails, makeup, and scented personal products are not allowed in the production area
- Jewelry or piercings that may interfere with gloves or gowning materials are not permitted
- Candidates must follow all cleanroom gowning and hygiene requirements
