Legal Assistant/Paralegal/Administrative Assistant
RAWLE & HENDERSON LLP, the nation's oldest law firm, seeks a Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant with one year’s experience working in a law office for this part-time position located in our Mineola office.
Legal Assistant/Paralegal/Administrative Assistant (“Legal Assistant”) will have experience in MS office applications (Word and Excel) and be able to type 65+ wpm. Legal Assistant must have excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. The Legal Assistant works at the direction of Attorneys and assists the Legal Secretary.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Provide administrative support
· Organize and file documents in both paper and digital files
· Assists with the organization and maintenance of forms and databases
· File pleadings and motions in digital court filing systems
· Copy and scan documents
· Under direction, compiles trial books and materials to send to experts
· Answers incoming calls and greeting visitors
· Working with the Records Manager, preparing old files and sending them to storage.
· Work with, assist and provide coverage for legal secretaries when needed
· Other paralegal duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
- 9 to 5 w/1 hour lunch
- 4 days per week
