Position is Part Time. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8 am - 5 pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments, materials, and supplies in accordance with infection prevention management protocols.
- Assist dentists during a variety of general dentistry procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage medical documentation and records accurately within Dentrix, ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies.
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Conduct assessments and monitor patient health status before, during, and after procedures.
- Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures aligned with infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, updating records, and managing patient inquiries professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
- MUST KNOW Dentrix
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, and specialists.
