MSP in Phoenix is looking for a Director of Technology. This person will provide leadership across its technology function and ensure operational excellence throughout the business.
Role Summary
The Director of Technology will lead the overall performance of technology operations, including service delivery, infrastructure, systems reliability, cybersecurity oversight, vendor management, and internal IT planning. This individual will collaborate closely with leadership and other stakeholders to make sure technology resources and operational processes effectively support organizational priorities.
The right candidate will be a practical and confident leader with strong communication skills, sound operational judgment, and the ability to manage both immediate business needs and long-term technology initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the organization’s day-to-day technology operations and overall service performance
- Lead MSP operational execution, including workflow efficiency, team accountability, and service quality
- Guide infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and continuity planning efforts
- Partner with leadership to identify needs, solve problems, and implement scalable technology solutions
- Manage vendors, technology partners, budgets, and related agreements
- Support documentation standards, process improvement, project execution, and team development
Experience and Background
- Strong background in IT operations, service delivery, infrastructure management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Solid understanding of managed services, systems administration, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and vendor oversight
- Demonstrated success improving processes, creating accountability, and driving operational consistency
- 7-10 years proven experience managing Operations department at a Managed Services Provider.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Experience working in a growing or multi-location organization
- Familiarity with budgeting, strategic planning, and technology roadmap development
- Industry certifications are a plus
