Job Summary
The electronic diagnostic & repair technician’s primary role will be troubleshooting and repairing various manufacturing and electrical equipment, assembling, or modifying electronic equipment and components. Assist engineering and equipment maintenance with new machine designs.
Essential Functions:
1. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems
2. Use diagnostic equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments
3. Wire, solder, build, and repair electrical components and assemblies
4. Document repairs, test results, and procedures
5. Determine materials, replacement parts, and tools needed for repairs and rebuilds.
6. Create schematics for equipment.
7. Complete tasks as directed by the Manager with minimum supervision
8. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
1. Technical and Electro-mechanical Capacity
2. Hand Soldering of wires and components
3. High power and Stereo Microscope use
4. Solid troubleshooting skills
5. Interpret and understand written or electronic information, such as schematics and blueprints
6. Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
7. Proficient with measuring instruments (micrometers, dial calipers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes)
8. Excellent time management
Required Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Five years minimum in the electronics field
3. Read, write, and verbally communicate in English
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
5. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
6. Valid driver’s license and transportation are required for travel between locations
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
