Duties
- Support classroom management by guiding children’s behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, emotional, and physical development, including toddler care and Montessori-inspired methods.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to prepare lesson plans and educational materials tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Monitor and document children’s progress through observations and standardized testing to inform personalized learning approaches.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that prioritizes child welfare and promotes positive interactions among students.
- Assist with classroom organization, routine transitions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming daycare or preschool setting.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.
- Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers and preschoolers.
- Knowledge of curriculum development across various educational frameworks such as Montessori or traditional methods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior constructively while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education activities and literacy education strategies suitable for young learners.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, tutoring, and working with students of diverse backgrounds to support their educational journey.
