About the Role
Pioneer Roofing Company is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator and/or Installer to join our crew in Hollywood, FL. Fabrication Responsibilities
- Operate auto brake, hand brake, and shear to fabricate sheet metal components
- Field measure and produce custom metal from project specs
- Fabricate gravel stops, coping cap, counter flashing, scuppers, drip edge, hat metal, gooseneck vents, gutters, downspouts, and expansion joints
- Select appropriate metal types and gauges for each roofing application
- Set up and maintain fabrication machinery
- Interpret blueprints and project drawings accurately
Installation Responsibilities
- Install architectural sheet metal assemblies including flashing, roof panels, etc.
- Perform layouts — measure, mark, and align sheet metal components on-site
- Maneuver, fasten, and anchor large sheet metal parts securely
- Interlock and seam-fasten grooved panel edges
- Tear off and replace existing gutters, coping cap, and accessories
- Maintain neat, orderly project sites per safety and housekeeping standards
Types of Fabricated Items
Drip edge, coping cap, counter flashing, flashing, scuppers, hat metal, gooseneck vents, gutters & downspouts, expansion joints, and more.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial roofing sheet metal experience (fabrication and/or installation)
- Roofing-specific sheet metal experience is required — general metal fabrication alone is not sufficient
- Strong knowledge of metal types and appropriate roofing applications
- Proficiency with auto brake, hand brake, and shear equipment
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders up to 60 ft and work comfortably at heights
- Ability to lift 75 lbs or more regularly
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Strong communication skills with crew, foreman, and project manager
