Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces to promote health and hygiene.
- Operate various cleaning tools and machinery with attention to safety protocols, including floor care equipment like buffers and polishers.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
- Follow safe lifting practices when moving heavy objects or supplies to prevent injury during manual handling activities.
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and report any safety hazards or facility concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
- Knowledge of proper chemical agent handling and adherence to safety protocol procedures.
- Skilled in operating cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices.
