Shop Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a motivated Shop Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on heavy equipment and wants to build a long-term career with a company that values quality workmanship, teamwork, and reliability.
You will work alongside our Lead Mechanic, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of construction equipment and trucks that keep our projects moving.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Lead Mechanic with repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues.
- Service excavators, skid loaders, wheel loaders, dump trucks, trailers, pickups, and support equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform equipment checks to ensure machines are ready for the field.
- Assist with welding, fabrication, and shop projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working on heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or construction equipment preferred.
- Experience operating or servicing skid loaders.
- Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop and outdoor environment.

- Pressure washers
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the Lead Mechanic.

Pay: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour
