We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair, with the ability to work on various vehicle systems, including powertrain and electrical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to vehicle maintenance and repair, ensuring that all work meets industry standards for quality and safety. GM experience preferred but not required.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Assist in auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes.
- Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality.
- Conduct diesel engine repairs as required, demonstrating expertise in both gasoline and diesel engines.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role in an automotive repair environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair techniques, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with powertrain systems and the ability to maintain them effectively.
- Understanding of automotive electrical systems is essential for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Experience with diesel engine repair is advantageous but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive technology are a plus.
