JOB TITLE: Warehouse and Driver Associate

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse and Driver associate is responsible for safe, timely, and courteous driving and loading/unloading deliveries and pickups of donations and deliveries. This associate is responsible for safety checks of all vehicles and maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicles. This position is also responsible for assisting in daily warehouse operations as needed. Must be able to work with the warehouse team, volunteers, program recipients, and donors in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Safely load and unload warehouse shipments using proper equipment.
· Safely operate material handling equipment such as conventional and standup reach forklifts, stackers, powered and manual pallet jacks and hand trucks.
· Safely drive to pick up donations and make deliveries.
· Perform light maintenance and inspect vehicles for cleanliness, fluid levels, tire pressure, and damage (before and after use).
· Safely pack and load food and other items for delivery.
· Return all perishable food items to proper storage as soon as possible.
· Return truck clean and ready for next delivery or pick-up.
· Report any accidents or injuries, incurred, or observed, immediately according to LHR’s policies and procedures.
· Keep warehouse areas clean and perform other housekeeping and sanitation duties. Perform pest control inspections and/or maintain temperature and pest control logs, as needed.
· Assist the warehouse team when needed daily
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately)
· 3-5 years of experience as a warehouse and/or driver associate.
· Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record
· Skilled at operating material handling equipment, with a current Forklift Certification preferred
-Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
· Basic mechanical, math, and writing skills
· Ability to complete multiple tasks within a changing work environment
· Ability to work independently, and on one's own initiative
· Ability to provide excellent customer service to our volunteers, donors, program recipients, and team
ADA SPECIFICATIONS
This position will require standing, bending, and lift. Up to 40lbs may occasionally need to be carried. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week).

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
