Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts.
- Support catering and special event meal preparations as needed.
- Serve food efficiently while providing excellent customer service when interacting with staff or guests.
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
