We are looking for an energetic, creative, and experienced early childhood educator who has a love for children and seeks to make a difference in their lives. We need someone enthusiastic and engaged, who will provide activities and games to our PreK students in the afternoon. This is a part time afternoon shift from 2:00-6:00pm M-F
MUST have reliable transportation
MUST have professional childcare experience
Job Responsibilities:
Help plan and facilitate individual and group activities to stimulate growth in language, social and motor skills such as learning to listen to instructions, getting along with others, and using play equipment.
Assist children and parents during pick up time, making sure students are cleaned up and have everything they need when they go home.
Treat children entrusted to us with love and care while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Help children develop habits of self-care (dressing self, putting toys away, cleaning up spills)
Keep accurate records of observation and progress of each child.
Maintain open communication with parents about child's progress and development.
Maintain classroom discipline.
Close down room before leaving, following Seaside policies for cleaning and sanitizing.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs
Work as a team with other teachers
Follow all Seaside School and VBUMC policies
Perform other duties as assigned by the Seaside Director
