Responsibilities

- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process purchases, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about features and benefits
- Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with product replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Follow proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
- Support team members through supervising experience when needed, helping train new staff or guiding peers
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse customers
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cashiering and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional interactions over the phone or via digital channels
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
