JOB
To supervise, assign and review the work of staff responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Departments; to oversee and participate in all work activities; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Functions and Duties:

Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of staff responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Departments

Participate in the preparation and administration of the Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Departments budget; submit budget recommendations; complete purchase requisitions; monitor expenditures.

Address customer concerns, questions, and complaints and provide information.

Review various analysis and reports and make recommendations; prepare analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities.

Participate in the selection of staff; provide or coordinate staff and training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures

Ensure State and EPA water quality standards and guidelines are met; make public inspections of facilities as required

Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; apply approved policies and procedures.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
