Hyve Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment. Hyve Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Lead to oversee and support quality inspection activities within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for leading a team of Quality Control Inspectors, ensuring compliance with quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
· Lead, coach, and mentor Quality Control Inspectors to ensure consistent execution of inspection and testing processes.
· Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering requirements, and quality standards.
· Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for quality improvement, defect reduction, and process optimization.
· Review and approve inspection reports, quality records, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action documentation.
· Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Ensure compliance with company quality systems, work instructions, policies, safety procedures, and industry standards.
· Analyze quality data and metrics, generate reports, and communicate trends, concerns, and improvement opportunities to management.
· Conduct audits of manufacturing processes, materials, and products to verify adherence to established requirements.
· Support customer audits, supplier quality initiatives, and internal audit activities as required.
· Coordinate containment actions for nonconforming materials and products to minimize impact to production and customer deliveries.
· Assist in developing and updating quality procedures, inspection plans, and training materials.
· Ensure all quality inspection equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and utilized.
· Facilitate employee training and certification programs related to quality processes and standards.
· Promote a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
· Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering implementations to ensure quality requirements are effectively integrated.
Qualifications:
· Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
· 3+ years of quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred.
· Experience in electronics manufacturing, server assembly, data center hardware, or a related high-tech manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
· Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and root cause analysis tools.
· Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards preferred.
· Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
· Proficiency with quality measurement tools and inspection equipment.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization.
· Experience utilizing ERP, MES, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.
· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality excellence.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed in a manufacturing environment.
