About the Position
Vivus Counseling Services is seeking a highly motivated Bilingual Therapist (English/Spanish) to join our growing clinical team. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about forensic mental health, domestic violence offender treatment intervention, working with survivors, and group counseling within culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
This position offers a diverse clinical caseload that includes evaluation, group facilitation, and individual counseling for both court-involved and self-referred clients. The therapist will support individuals navigating complex life circumstances, including legal involvement, immigration-related stressors, and interpersonal trauma. Work is conducted in English and Spanish and centers on culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based interventions across both mandated and voluntary services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic services to community clients seeking voluntary, non-mandated support, including individual and/or group counseling.
- Conduct culturally responsive forensic evaluations for criminal and dependency & neglect (D&N) cases, adhering to court and agency standards.
- Facilitate domestic violence treatment groups using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approaches.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records in accordance with agency, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive, evidence-based forensic reports demonstrating strong analytical and written communication skills.
- Participate in supervision, consultation, and case review with the Executive Director/Clinical Supervisor.
- Collaborate with community professionals, probation, child welfare, attorneys, and other stakeholders through interdisciplinary meetings and staffings.
- Maintain compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory guidelines (DVOMB, DORA, etc.).
- Engage in ongoing professional development, with opportunities to accompany the Executive Director/Clinical Supervisor to court proceedings or collaborative meetings for observation and training.
Qualifications
- Licensed or license-eligible with DORA (LPC, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- DVOMB-approved provider preferred; candidates not yet approved will receive free supervision and full agency support toward certification.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, thoughtful clinical and forensic documentation.
- Interest in group counseling, client engagement, and culturally responsive, trauma-informed service delivery.
- Capacity to maintain a full clinical caseload (approximately 32 hours of direct client services weekly), with dedicated paid time for documentation and report writing.
- Experience in forensic, criminal justice, domestic violence, or court-adjacent settings is welcomed but not required.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.

- Work Location: In-person services based in Colorado Springs, CO, with a hybrid work schedule negotiable based on role responsibilities and clinical needs.
