Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Shop Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, including construction machinery, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure our products operate at peak performance, supporting our reputation for quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and other mechanical components using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractors-trailers.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues related to brakes, suspensions, air brakes, alignments, HVAC systems, and tire services.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair equipment efficiently.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols during service procedures.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for quality assurance and future reference.
- Support the installation of new equipment or parts and perform routine inspections to prevent future breakdowns.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background in heavy equipment servicing is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction machinery maintenance and repair.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
- Familiarity with schematics, heavy equipment operation, welding techniques, and HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Experience working with OEM parts and understanding of diesel engine repair processes.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining a focus on quality workmanship.
- Prior experience with tire service, brake repair, suspension work, and vehicle maintenance is beneficial.

Pay: $26.29 - $31.66 per hour
